Film Club
Academic Year 2023-24
205 students registered themselves as the members of the Film Club in the academic year 2023-24.
The screening of the film ‘The Gifted Hands’ was done as the inaugural film on 5th August 2023, in the J. S. Kelkar Seminar Hall of the college.
Film Appreciation Workshop was conducted on 1st and 2nd September 2023. Mr. Santosh Pathare (Mumbai) was the resource person of the workshop. 41 students participated in this workshop.
On 9th September 2023, Short-film appreciation workshop was organized in which 45 students had participated. Mr. Suhas Kirloskar(Pune) guided as the resource person.
The film ‘IB-71’ was screened on 27th September 2023.
On 3rd December 2023, a programme named ‘Chitranubhuti’ took place, in which the veteran Marathi actor Dr. Mohan Agashe was invited as the chief guest. 50 students participated in this programme.
An educational trip to Mumbai Film City was organized on 9th
and 10th December 2023 by GJC Film Club in joint collaboration with Anand Foundation, Mumbai. 19 students who had been selected after going through the selection rounds that included interview and statement of purpose, participated in the trip along with 2 teachers.
The students of GJC Film Club also attended the screening of various films organized by Ratnagiri Film Society.
