PM USHA Certificate course BIOCHEMISTRY

Certificate course named “Science Communication Skills” under the aegis of PM-USHA organised by Department of Biochemistry has been successfully completed

 Department of Biochemistry has successfully completed a certificate course named “Science Communication Skills” under the aegis of PM-USHA for the span of 30 hours from 17th January, 2025 to 27th February, 2025. 35 students registered for the course and completed it with enthusiasm.

This course equipped learners with essential skills needed to thrive in today’s professional landscape. During the course, students were observed with enhancedwriting skills for various scientific communication formats such as formal letters, notes, reports, proposals, research and science articles. Improvement in their ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations was seen. They surely have developed critical thinking skills for evaluating scientific information. Mock interview session helped them develop skills for social and professional networkingand career advancement in sciencefields including resume writing andjob search strategies. Students have gathered essential skills in communication and research methodologies through both theoretical knowledge and practical applications.

Certificate distribution program was held on 10th March 2025. One of the resource persons Mrs. Nupur Patwardhan was invited as a chief guest. She praised the students for their enthusiasm and keen interest in learning new things. She wished them luck for their bright future. Vice Principal Science andPM-USHACoordinator Dr. Aparna Kulkarni was also present andadmired the participated students for their efforts and congratulated the department for designing such a beneficial course. PM-USHACertificate Course Coordinator Dr. Yasmeen Aowte congratulated everyone for successful completion of the course. Biochemistry Department Head Dr. Varsha Ghadyale, Course Coordinator Mrs. Shweta Patwardhan, teachers and students from Biochemistry department were present for the certificate distribution program.

Some of the students expressed their gratitude for organizing such a helpful course for their career and also commented on effective conduction of the same. Organization for advanced version of such course was also suggested by the participatedstudents. Principal Dr. M. R. Sakhalkar also congratulated the department for successful completion of the course.
